Letzten Dienstag haben wir, Nadja und ich, nachmittags noch schnell die Siebe belichtet und sind dann in die Etsy Labs gefahren, um den Rest für den Workshop vorzubereiten. Ich war ganz schön aufgeregt, ob alles klappt und ob auch ein paar Leute kommen würden. Mein liebster Mann half uns den Stoff noch zurecht zu schneiden und anschliessend zu bügeln. Und eh wir uns versahen, war es auch schon 19Uhr. Und dann ging's los.
Last Tuesday afternoon we, Nadja and I, have exposed the screens and then drove to the Etsy Labs in order to prepare the location for the workshop. I was pretty nervous, if all goes well and if a few people would come. My dear husband helped us to cut the fabric and to iron the fabrics. When everything was finished the first people already had arrived and we started just after 7pm.

30 Kreative haben gedruckt, gefönt, gebügelt, genäht, gestopft, gewendet, noch mal genäht und sich dann gefreut. Insgesamt sind 80 Ahoikatzen entstanden - damit haben wir echt nicht gerechnet! Wahnsinn! Anschliessend wurden die grosse Ahoikatze sowie die HeimatKinder noch auf T-Shirts und Taschen gedruckt. Es hat uns total viel Spass gemacht - hoffentlich Euch auch!
30 creative people have printed, blow-dried, ironed, sewn, stuffed, turned, and then sewn again and were happy in the end. A total of 80 Ahoikatzen were made - we really did not expect that many! Then the big Ahoikatze and the HeimatKinder were printed on T-shirts and bags. We enjoyed our first Craft Night and we hope you did too!

Zuerst hat uns der Anwalt Stefan Vogt über ein paar rechtliche Dinge aufgeklärt. Wusstet ihr z.B. dass man seine Umsatzsteuer ID auf seinem Blog haben muss - sofern man eine hat - allerdings nicht seine Steuernummer? Zudem ist es wichtig seinen Vor- und Zunamen im Impressum stehen zu haben. Vielen Dank noch einmal an Herrn Vogt! Anschliessend wurde gebastelt...genäht....gequatscht und gelacht.
The lawyer Stefan Vogt gave us some tips about what you need to include in the Imprint, Online sales and .... Afterwards we started chatting, eating cake, sewing, crafting and laughing.

Morgen, Dienstag den 14. Juni,  ist es soweit: Nadja von Smil und ich geben zusammen einen Workshop in den Etsylabs Berlin. Wir drucken und nähen Nadjas Ahoikatze mit allem was dazugehört: Stoff bedrucken, bügeln, zusammennähen, ausstopfen und freuen. Und auch von mir wird es ein HeimatKinder Ahoi Motiv geben, das man auf Taschen, T-Shirts ( bitte selber mitbringen) oder auch auf Stoff drucken  und dann weiterverarbeiten kann. Das Ganze ist kostenlos und anmelden kann man sich über Facebook. Wir freuen uns schon auf Euch!!

Tomorrow, Tuesday June 14th, Nadja from Smil and I are going to host a craft Night at the Berlin Etsy labs. We will make Ahoicats from Scratch, screenprinting, sewing and stuffing them. There will be of course also a HeimatKinder Ahoy design which you can print on bags, t-shirts ( please bring your own) or on fabric. The workshop is free and you can register at the Facebook page. If you’re in Berlin, come and say hi! We’re looking forward to meeting you soon!

Immer wieder Montags und Danke! // Thanks and Monday again...

Ersteinmal ein grosses Dankeschön an Heike von Gedankenwölkchen für Ihr Gebot für die Haremshose zu Gunsten der DKMS. Den Erlös werde ich noch Aufstocken, so dass wir 1 Typisierung bezahlt haben.

First of all, a big thanks goes to Heike alias Gedankenwölkchen. She bid on the Sarouel Pants in favour of the DKMS. I will add some money, so that we reach 50 Euro which will pay for 1 typing.


Und dann ist heute schon wieder Montag. Und das heisst für mich, dass ich heute wieder was Tolles bei Etsy ausprobieren werde. Dieses Mal Upcycle it: Origami aus Altpapier. Mal sehen, ob ich das hinbekomme ;-) 19Uhr in den Etsy Labs( Ritterstrasse 12-14, Berlin Kreuzberg) Ich werde berichten. Diese Woche wirklich! Versprochen. Wenn nicht, dürft ihr euch was überlegen.

Heute Abend geh ich - wie jeden Montag- wieder zu Etsy. Dieses Mal basteln wir Filmszenen-Terrarien aus Einweckgläsern, Moos, Erde und ein paar anderen Zutaten. Klingt doch spannend, oder? Hoffentlich kommt ihr auch heute Abend ab 19Uhr in die Etsy Labs 
( Ritterstrasse 12-14, Berlin Kreuzberg)  Tonight I will go again to the Etsy Labs. This time we will create little terrariums out of jars, soil, and moss. We will try to re-enact our favorite movie scenes with miniature figurines.  Sounds interesting? Then I hope to see you tonight at 7pm at the Etsy Labs in Berlin ( Ritterstrasse 12-14, Berlin Kreuzberg)

Upcycling find ich super! Heute Abend gibt es einen Workshop in den Etsy Labs Berlin, bei dem man alte T-Shirts und Stoffreste recycelt und daraus traditionelle japanische FlipFlops, so genannte Zori , herstellt. Vielleicht kommt ja die oder der ein oder andere von Euch auch?!

I like upcycling! Tonight at the Etsy Labs in Berlin, there is a workshop on how to recycle t-shirts to create traditional japanese Flipflops, so called Zori. I hope to meet soome of you there!
